Supply Chain

Rich Text, Meet Purchase Orders

Capturing detailed supplier instructions just got a serious upgrade. You can now add an expandable rich text editor as a custom attribute on Purchase Orders—perfect for structured notes, links, or any nuanced instructions your team needs to see at a glance.

Organization settings have also been updated to support this new attribute type, making setup simple and seamless.

More Robust BOM Importing Through “Import BOM – Fast Import (Depth Notation)”

We’ve made key improvements to the Import BOM – Fast Import (Depth Notation) tool to better support real-world use cases. It now handles a wider range of input formats, including more flexible substitute syntax and handling of depth notation that starts with 0 or 1.

Streamline mBOM Updates with a New Relationship Manager

A new dedicated view on the parts side pane now lets you manage procedure relationships directly—giving you the flexibility to adjust or remove links, even when earlier mBOM versions are tied to released procedures through installation requirements. This allows you to upgrade and make changes without being overly coupled to procedures.

Other Supply Chain Improvements

  • Fully received PO lines and specifically their corresponding inventory lines always show as "received" even if the PO moves to draft to edit other PO lines. This resolves a blocker that previously prevented users from editing PO line quantities to accurately reflect physical changes.
  • Purchase Order descriptions now save reliably when users tab out of the input field. This small but important fix increases data integrity.
  • You can now split inventory quantities and their associated barcodes—even in unavailable locations. This adds more flexibility when managing restricted or non-movable stock.

Production

Smarter Part Allocation with “Install from Kit”

The “Install from Kit” function now allocates parts more intelligently across multiple levels of your aBOM. With the new logic, kitted parts are distributed based on specified quantities and installed starting with the deepest levels first. More accurate installs. Less manual correction. Built for complex assemblies

Mark Tools as “Unavailable” By Your Own Definition

Tool inventory just got smarter. With the new "Unavailable" flag, you can now mark tools as unavailable—directly from the UI or via the API—without physically relocating them. This is perfect for large assets like machining dies or molds that aren’t easy to move but need to be marked off-limits for use.

Find Any Step, Fast—Even the Hidden Ones

We’ve added a search bar to procedure steps, so you can now quickly find steps by title—even if they’re deeply nested as children or grandchildren. No more endless scrolling. Just type, find, and jump straight to the step you need.

Other Production Improvements

  • Enhanced the run execution content editor to automatically delete assets when associated media is removed. This applies to media within run steps (redlines), issues, and further actions. Also fixed a bug where uploading a single media item would sometimes generate duplicate assets.
  • Manufacturers on Windows and mobile devices can consistenlty clear custom datetime attributes.
  • Run views now surface all open issues tied to a run—whether they were created on a tagged step or require resolution on one.
  • Kitting inventory dropdowns now include ID visibility, making it easier to distinguish between similar part inventories.
  • New batching and un-batching logic with improved error handling strengthens batch processing workflows and reduces disruptions. This update will be rolled out progressively over the next month.
  • Users can now complete run steps even if there are outstanding required installs, offering more flexibility in fast-paced or exception-driven workflows. There is an organizational setting in which you can decide what role has permissions to complete steps with outstanding required installs.
  • Reference designators for installed parts are always visible on the aBOM screen when installing multiple inventories with multiple reference designator options.
  • The signoff process for step fields of type “Signoff” now always enforces a required roles when peer review is enabled.
  • Steps can now be dragged in the dependencies view while a procedure is in review.

Autoplan

  • Planners can update the status field using the UpdateMRPJob mutation, enabling self-service resolution for Autoplan jobs stuck in progress. View documentation
  • Changing the action type within Autoplan results now correctly clears supplier and procedure IDs.
  • Plans with missing part thumbnails now display cleanly with blank spaces instead of broken image links.
