Release Notes//

Production

  • ION procedures and standard steps can be versioned or deleted more reliably without errors.
  • Resolved concurrency issues when splitting inventories, preventing unintended creation of multiple inventories.
  • Improved copy-and-paste functionality in the content editor so that media elements are now independently uploaded and referenced each time they're pasted.
  • Fixed an issue where formatting changes (such as table edits or image alignment) in the procedure editor wouldn't save unless accompanied by free-text edits.
  • Added a configurable Quantity column to the Runs table, which is displayed by default but can be hidden via the Columns dropdown. This provides users greater control and customization of their data views.
  • Previously, simultaneous content updates could occasionally overwrite each other, leading to potential data loss or confusion. We've introduced a structured first-in-first-out (FIFO) queue to ensure updates are processed clearly and reliably. While this significantly reduces conflicts, we're continuing to refine this solution to fully eliminate the issue.
  • Added a warning tooltip to the redline merge modal clarifying that child steps only carry over when merging into a new run, not when merging into an existing step.

Supply Chain

Upcoming PO Status Management Changes

PO and PO Line status interaction is changing the week of June 23rd to bring clarity and flexibility to supply chain workflows. ION allows you to edit all information on any PO line regardless of the PO line status when the PO is in a Draft. Please review this information here.

Quality

Upcoming ION Actions Changes

We're rolling out major improvements to ION Actions execution, significantly boosting performance by eliminating redundant queries and streamlining ION Actions logic. These enhancements also provide richer, more detailed change contexts, giving you finer and more precise control over factory operations. More details coming soon!

Other Quality / Platform

  • Corrected permission logic for adding users to teams. Previously, the system locked this functionality behind the admin role. ION now properly respects the addUserToTeam permission.
  • Resolved a bug in redlining sign-off steps, ensuring required sign-off roles no longer need to be selected twice to take effect.

Marketplace Updates

Purchase Order PDF and Versions

Version: 13 (gov), 11 (pub)

Added support to use an on-premise report generation service and the ability to generate Excel (.xlsx) files instead of PDFs. After updating, customers must set new configurations: enable On-Prem report generation if applicable, specify the On-Prem report generation URL if enabled, verify report generation version (default: 4), and select the desired File Output Type (pdf or xlsx). In addition, ION supports more fields and better formatting of PO PDFs.

Auto-Consumption

Version: 10 (gov), 25 (pub)

Added a Notification for when the auto-consumption integration completes. Clicking on the notification will redirect to the associated run

Added ability to manually retrigger auto-consumption. This is configurable with a boolean custom attribute on Runs. Toggling this from false to true will trigger auto-consumption.

Packing List for Kits

Added functionality to generate a packing list for kits. Please contact your CSM for details on how to deploy this automation!

Netsuite PO to ION Sync

Version: 65 (gov), 51 (pub)

Removed unnecessary call updating ION PO status in the NetSuite Item Receipt workflow. This resolves issues where PO statuses were incorrectly marked as 'received' prematurely, ensuring accurate status updates managed automatically by the backend.
