🚀 Upcoming API Changes
Week of Sept 1st
- PO Fees will only be editable in the DRAFT status.
- Run end_time changes:
- Type change from STRING to DATETIME.
- Will now return null until the run is complete (previously returned the last available end_time in Steps)
- Part Inventories for untracked parts: cannot be kitted above the available quantity.
- This now aligns with existing validation for lot- and serial-tracked parts.
- Zero Quantity Step Installations’s is_quantity_fully_installed field on run steps will return False until at least one installation occurs.
Week of Sept 15th
- Modify Step Cancelation Logic: ION will automatically remove cancelled steps from the dependency graph to prevent cancelled steps from blocking downstream work. Successors will be rerouted to depend on the cancelled step’s predecessors. We’ll also provide an ION Action to control who can cancel run steps.
- Installed Inventory Location Changes: We have identified a big performance improvement to help assist with moving large assemblies.
- Installed inventory will no longer have a location.
- If a part is uninstalled, its location gets set to the location of its top-level parent assembly.
- If inventory is installed, it gets its location nullified.
📦 Other Notable Changes
- Adding a new organization setting that allows inventory to be merged even if they come from different receipts and purchases, to drastically improve inventory management.
